Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here we are getting underway for the first club race of the season. I'm the one in the green, white and black kit directly in front (left in photo) of the guy in red, teammates in front of me. (our numbers are on our right sides)

Track standing on a 76 mile group ride last Saturday. This was a little less than halfway in, and a few miles later my derailer cable broke, so I finished the ride with gear choices of 39/14 or 53/14

rice fest by Todd Crandall, on Flickr

I somehow made the local fish wrapper doing a metric century ride that's part of week long festival. My wife took a picture of the newspaper with her phone so please forgive the low quality of the image.

Here is my contribution to the thread.

The "There's a box strapped to my back" photo.

The "Hill repeats makes you crazy" photo.

At the Boulder Urban Assault Ride Sunday. I had to throw "newspapers" while riding around in circles and my wife had to catch them in a bin.
