$145 for a chain!!!??? I don't care what kind of bike it is. That's an absurd price to pay for a chain, any chain.
The gold Titanium Nitride coating isn't worth it on a road bike chain. The coating doesn't do much and gets ripped off the sides of the chain from rasping against the sprockets when shifting. At $90 it it still a rediculous price to pay.

Well.... I decided to get one.
This chain is really beautiful. The packaging (hard box and the chain sandwiched between foams) and everything is like no other. It's like I just bought jewelry and at that price point, I think I just did. lol

These coatings are the same thing used on carbide cutter inserts for machining. Granted machining creates a lot of heat and is a nasty environment but these coatings should have some merit in a bicycle chain. I have a gold one on each of my bikes and honestly it's for aesthetics but I don't think it unreasonable to expect some other benefits. I liked those black nitrate coatings when I was machining 316 Stainless. Herald up great.

Cool chain, show us pics when you have it installed. As long as you like it is all that matters. There will always be haters.

I approve...however, I totally would have mounted the pump on the other side so you wouldn't see it in drive side photos, of course, I'm a little OCD too, so...

chains are disposable wear items, not a lifetime investment...
if you like how one looks, buy it, put miles on it, and replace it when its time is up.
if one chain lasts a few hundred miles more or less than another, it's not a bfd.
