Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, I'm working full time too.

I rode my bike once. It was partly weather, partly working from home, and partly because I have lost a lot of interest in my bike. Hopefully that's temporary.

Rode a couple of centuries (good), but the weather here was awful last month (bad). I think it rained 19 of the first 21 days of the month. Between the weather, work commitments, and volunteering all of Horsey Hundred weekend, my miles were not what I would have liked.

Not a bad month. Started getting back on track after being sick the prior month. I got interrupted by a weekend wedding I had to attend, but finished the month on a strong note during Memorial Day weekend. Probably did about 400 miles total.

700+ miles myself. I am riding rain or shine. Full time job myself{LEO] and my bike is my stress release. I work 6a-2p. Thirty min nap, a snack and two hours or more riding each day. On my days off I'm doubling down on the miles and hours.

Kind of a mixed bag. About 460 miles, 24,000 feet, with 200 miles of that on just three rides, including a park race. Weekday morning and weekend group rides were modest and limited. Biggest bummer was a planned cycling trip to Italy during the Giro that fell apart and didn't happen (would have picked up probably another 200-300 miles and another 40k feet). This month should be interesting. Started with a great little morning ride, exploring the East Hill, and tomorrow is the Highlands Gran Fondo, which promises to be rainy....
