Found a serious weakness with Wahoo RFLKT

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Found a serious weakness with Wahoo RFLKT

I've been trying out the Wahoo RFLKT and initially had some good things to say, but on a century ride today, I found a serious flaw. At a rest stop I walked far enough away from the bike to lose Bluetooth contact between the RFLKT and my phone. I didn't notice it until I was riding again. No big deal, I thought, Ride with GPS is still gathering data, so I'll just re-establish the connection next time I stop. Some 20 miles later I stopped to refill my water bottle and was able to get the RFLKT reconnected. When I got home, I uploaded the ride thinking that Ride with GPS was still running while the connection was lost. Well the time, cadence and HR were recorded, but once the connection was lost, Ride with GPS stopped tracking my location. Those 20 miles were lost with a straight line from the point where contact was lost to the point where it was reconnected. No mileage, speed or moving time recorded

After losing and re-establishing contact, I started pulling the RFLKT off it's mount and pocketing it with my cell phone so they would keep communicating and that worked fine, but what a PITA if you ever forget and don't immediately reconnect.
