Nutrition/training for metric quarter century?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good tip, but where can I buy a bidon?

You don't buy them, they only come with carbon wheelsets, and Team Sky replica yellow jerseys.

I found a bidon on ebay-

Campagnolo Water Bottle Record Vintage Racing Bicycle Bidon Made by T A NOS | eBay

It says Campagnolo on it and is $100. Is that a good buy? Not sure if Campagnolo makes good bidons?

Looks like a good one. Make sure you practice flicking it before the BIG DAY though. Don't want to drop it mid-ride and look like a Fred.

I'm pretty sure the best bidons are made in France. Better get this one.

The olive garden suggestion was made earlier, I have a gift card I plan on using. I'm also trying to figure out a way to get the oreos into my bidon, maybe a sort of slurry, to keep me going past the first metric tenth or so.

Don't believe them. I ate almost a whole tube on my last metric quarter century and not only did it taste terrible, it didn't help at all. Maybe if I could find some gluten free chamois cream.

You have to understand that's a pretty ambitious goal. You can't just walk up to any cyclist and think they've done a metric quarter century!

I guess that's a fair point. There's a coffee shop 10 miles from my house and I'll typically drive halfway there with my bike, ride to the shop, have lunch and grab some pastries, and then ride back to my car with a few stops for snacks along the way. That's on Sundays when I have more time, though.
