Appealing to the "Court of Public opinion"
Im referring to where the rear brake mounts. Specifically the arch cut-out ABOVE the hole for the brake mounting bolt.
The frame on the left is the same 51cm frame as mine and has the same frame geometry as an R5. The one on the right is a 56cm frame.
My contention is the frame on the left looks CHEAP and UNFINISHED compared to the frame on the right. As if the cut out was forgotten.
What do you think? Do you agree? What would you do?
I dont know why when I upload a pic it resizes it AND changes the file type. If anyone can tell me EXACTLY what to do to upload a pic that can actually be viewed. Thanks
Otherwise, you can press left ctrl then the + 4 times so you can zoom in to see the pic. Press press left ctrl then the - 4 times to zoom back out when finished. Thanks again!

The frame on the left looks stronger than the frame on the right.

51 frame is probably stronger just because it is smaller. The chainstays are the same length behind the brakes and the brake mount on the brace on the 56 provides the added support for the longer overall rear triangle. I call them the same.

Yes, I am positive it is a size difference. There is basically not enough room for the cutout on the 51 cm frame. And also no need for it, as the extra material that is being cut out really isn't there in the first place. To tell the truth, I can't remember, but I don't think my 54 cm has the cutout either. I'm still 2,000 miles away from my bike, so unfortunately I can't double check for you.

I'd send a picture and ask about it before I sent the bike.
And frankly, I would be a lot more concerned about the bashed-in rivet than the cut-out or not. It doesn't look to me like an accident---it wouldn't actually be cut out, but would be done (or not done) in the mold. I'd assume it is because on a frame that small it wasn't needed.
I will tell you if my 56 has the cut-out or not, if it ever arrives. Shortly after the sun melts the earth, was the last estimated date of arrival.

Not 'CHEAP' or 'UNFINISHED', just different. If you don't like it, return it. It can't be 'fixed' as it is a molded-in (or not) feature.
As far as the rivet head is concerned, you could just drill it out and install a new pop rivet if it bothers you that much. No way I'd return a frame over something so minor. I might ask for a discount but wouldn't be upset if I didn't get one. Once the bike is assembled you'll totally forget about it.

You don't forget to make a "cutout" because it isn't cut out. It is molded that way and the tubes are hollow.
The 51cm frame has a different design in that area simply because the distance from the brake bridge to the seat post is shorter. There would not be enough room on the small frame to have the gap and the big frame would look odd if there wasn't a gap (too much material). It was a conscious decision made by the frame designer.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it as you will never see this part when riding the bike. The only reason you would have for returning the frame would be that you don't like the look of it.

I won't quote or reply to everyone individually. What I will say is that after a considerable amount of research I did find a 51cm R5 that indeed has the same design as my frame. It is similar to trying to find pictures of and R5 without Di2 and Rotor cranksets.
As some of you have mentioned once I have it built up all I'm going to be thinking about is blowing by the pretty skinny boys and their matching kit to frame colors (that sounded fairly confrontational. Not sure where that came from.)
Thank you for your participation and don't forget, opinions are like feet, everyone has them and everyone thinks that their's doesn't STINK!
And now back to your regularly scheduled program already in progress.
