Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does anyone know when Trek will release their new 2017 road bikes (Emonda, Emonda ALR, Domane, etc)?

Trek has most of the 2017 lines in stock already, looking for a particular model?

We've had select Domane SLRs (disc & non-disc) as well as SLs and S models on the floor for well over a month. Just about all of them are now available. Same with the Emonda lineup. The only delays have been with Dura-Ace equipped bikes, they're not yet available because the new DA isn't available yet. Some sizes have low stock and or no stock yet but they're technically "available."

Speaking of that, are there any real timelines yet for the new DA stuff, specifically the power meter crankset?

DA mechanical is anticipated for later this year. DA Di2 is quoted early 2017. Haven't heard about the release of the power meter though.

What GamerEdge said. No specifics on the PM crankset. Mech DA is late October/early November and DA Di2 is 'early' 2017.

That's all as of right now, subject to change, of course.

I recently got a SLR and love it so far. I'm normally overly critical of items and not one who thinks a product is great just b/c I purchased it. The bike may not look as good as some others on the market, but it is very stiff and handles like a dream. I love it on the mountains surprisingly more so for the descents than the ascents.

I'd love to get my hands on a Domane ALR 4 disc - they exist overseas: Trek Domane ALR 4 Disc (2017) - Turramurra Cyclery Store

I'm just hoping it has clearance similar to the Domane SLR 6.

We'll have one in about a month, according to backorder timelines. They come standard with 32s and we've been told that clearances are near identical.

Has anyone got their hands on a new 2017 model? I saw the Domane S5 and Emonda S5, they look good! I'm going to go with the Domane S 6 but won't be able to ride for a while due to my injury. I was between this bike and the Emonda SL 6, which is the exact same except the new blue colorway. The upgraded wheels, Aura 5, the ability to run 28s, and all Ultegra made me go with this bike.

i was shopping for a new bike late June and to get the size I needed required ordering a 2017 model. Received it mid July and have been riding as much as possible - Domane S6 with discs.

What an amazing bike. If you go with the S6 I suspect you will be pleased. I put on 30mm tires with room to spare.

I have been thinking of going to a mountain bike for the time being but I really don't think I can justify having one before a road bike. I am very keen on the S6, it's a beauty! I hear on the disc version you can probably fit 32 easily and 30 on the non disc version. I'll end up with 28s on mine and it will be a big jump in comfort compared to what I've been on in the past.
