New Campy lever / hoods coming? (Sigh)
Anyone else see this post on Instagram this morning:
I'm so disappointed. I have been a loyal Campy rider but they are losing so much of their differentiation. First they changed their iconic cranks to the chunkier style (just like Shimano and SRAM) in 2015. But at least we had those beautiful, curvy, elegant ergo grips. When I purchased a new bike in 2015 it was the grips that convinced me to stay with Campy, since I'd spend so much time staring at them and holding them while in the saddle. Now it looks like they are going to adopt the giant block design just like Shimano. Sigh.
Anyone else seeing this? (And yeah that's me posting a similar cranky-old-man comment using my other screen name.)

What are they supposed to do for hydro disk brakes? Remote resevoir?

Yup, those look like hydro and EPS to me. Gotta have hydro fluid somewhere.

Those are not only ugly....but look really uncomfortable. Why do they have to keep screwing up their hood design?
Best we can hope for...is that is showing a short-throw shimmed install with crazy mounting....but somehow I doubt that.

Would you say the bigger hoods are because more pro riders seem to be riding their bikes in this position:
...instead of this position:
So the taller, larger hoods are there to hold onto when you're more aero. #alwaysbeaero

^^^No. The hoods shape, in this case, are for accommodating hydraulic brake system components.
Whether there is a general move towards larger hoods across manufacturers, I can't say.

I used 7800 levers like that for years.
9000 levers feel very good in the traditional hoods position, but 7800 levers were better in the aero/hoods position.

Are the thumb levers bigger? Their placement looks a bit different.

This better not cause a price increase on current Campy mechanical stuff. I'm about to buy a Chorus group!

I can't decide what's worse; that ridiculous bar tape, or the shape of the hoods. Okay, fine, the tape is bad, but the hoods are worse.
Absolutely disgusting.
