Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like the S-Wrap HD which came on my Roubaix Expert:

Very comfy, grippy, and with nearly 8000 miles on the bike the tape strangely still looks like new Not sure how other colors fare, but I have the black one.

I've tried a dozens of brands, materials, and thicknesses over the years. I've done the gel layer, and even harmonic dampers in the bar ends. All said and done, I always return to either fi'zi:k Performance Classic tape, or plain-Jane cork. The ladder being cheaper than the former means that I've got a stock of cork tape ready to re-wrap the bars whenever I feel I need new tape, or want to change the color.

That does look good. Never tried it but I will next time. May be a long time as the Roubaix tape is pretty good at lasting, too.
