Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Backordered for a couple of months apparently. I had the feeling it wouldn't be coming in in the 1-2 weeks the LBS had estimated, but dangit this sucks. I guess I won't cancel the order, better late than never, but man thats a real pisser.

Cervelo has a long waiting list for any of their bikes... one of the reasons I went used on my P2K frame...

I'd heard about it for the 2.5, but no one around here had complained for the Soloist

I was thinking at the worst, a month...

Oh well, less money on my credit card.. I'll probably be able to pay cash in full by the time it arrives. Always a plus.

The 2.5 is a good bike. I'm not sure how much it costs, but if you are going for lightweight and strong I'd lean towards the CR-1. (since neither bike has an aero advantage like the soloist does)

The Aluminum soloist frame isn't that much heavier than the CR-1/2.5 frames. I think at most were are talking at most a little over a pound assuming all other compoents are the same (ie, fork etc)

How much is a Cervelo 2.5?

Man ya got my hopes up!

Man that sucks. I would hate to have to do that. There is an option of getting it from that excel sports or other places that have them in stock, which will gaurentee you a bike.

I'd much rather get the benefits of having bought it from my LBS (fitting, free tune ups, discounts on accessories, etc) than mail order it.

53: I didn't plan on buying the 2.5, just making a reference I'm not sure how much it is, at least 3k I believe
