Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hot. Best worn on a Gulf CAAD10. The synergy produces ~30 extra watts at all times.

Is your foot that big, or are bigger Rockport Walking Shoes better for cycling?

I was going to ask about the bowling shoes, but I didn't want to step on anyone's toes.

As far as socks go, I don't put a lot of thought into that, I use some kind of ankle length athletic socks from Wally World.

Man! I left work early yesterday and missed the start of this thread.

If you like pink socks, many places seem to be having sales on them. Google "pink sock" for examples.

You're better than this. We all need you to be at your best for the coming of spring and first-time rider threads.

This part is worthy of a qft, though. Kudos on your pink socks!

Wow. You see, someone asked recently what's a Fred. This is a Fred. Because serious cyclists know the 13 should be upside down.

Yeah I always keep an eye out for sales on last years colorways from Defeet and their spinoffs. Cool designs. Swiftwicks are nice too.

In other news, Ridge Supply, Handlebar Moustache, and Sako7 are all just rebranded Defeets - sometimes you can find them on amazon for super cheap.

I've been slowly replacing all my socks with wool socks, flat (dark) grey color. The local performance has a pair of factory seconds with minor defects that they sell at $15 for two pair.
