Ordered new Ti bike

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ordered new Ti bike

Well I bit the dust and order a Habanero Team issue Nuevo with Ultegra 6800. Got a 58 size and now just have wait. I must say Mark Hikey the owner was nice so far. I cannot wait I must admit I have never road Ti.

Mine is custom geometry. I think the ST is 64cm. It has 10 speed ultegra 6700 drivetrain (which was brand new when I got the frame). Ritchey WCS fork. It has held up well even now after 7 years and roughly 40000 miles.

You should sell me your frame so that I can make it into two frames.

OP, congrats on the new ride!

Deacon what did it cost you? I'm really working my way towards a titanium bike. I've been scouring ebay and Craigslist. I too ride a 58.
I'm happy for you.

Ti is in my experience the best ride for a road bike. I got to A/B/C a Tarmac SL3 Pro, custom steel, and Lynskey R230. Sold the Tarmac after one or two rides on the steel and Ti, and actually sold the Lynskey knowing I wanted disc brakes. Now I have an R150 disc, and the custom steel rarely get ridden, but I doubt I'll ever let it go, sentimentality and all.
