Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

$20 per tire less than everyone else and I ordered four. So it's a pretty good savings.

But more importantly he actually has them. They are hard to get. LBS finally gave up trying after a few months, couldn't ever get any through their distributor. Hence my turning to online sources.

This reminds me I need tires soon.

Do you think I'd get my order fulfilled in time for my ride up Mt Baldy on Cinco de Mayo?

I continue to be a firm believer in the Michelin Pro4s and the upside is they're only getting cheaper.

I got sideways on a fast mountain descent on a pair of Michelin.

I had done the same descent multiple times on the way home from work on my other bike with contis no problem.

Michelins scare me now.

The fact that Fenway has developed this reputation among black players is terrible. Having spent a lot of time at Wrigley, I can say there is absolutely no chance some fan in the bleachers can yell the n word at a player and not get their ass beat.

The bleachers is where most of the drunk stuff happens. Racial taunting and peanuts? No way.

They are IRC Tubeless, the RBCC and the Pro Lights. The RBCC a little better in wet conditions but maybe also a little more durable.

Coach switched recently from the IRC Roadlites to the Pro Lights, he really likes them.

The funny thing is I texted him yesterday that I was having trouble getting them (to learn his source)!and he replied, "no problem, I have two extra and I can just send em to you and you can pay me replacement cost. But I'm out of town until Monday".

So I was actually all set but then I thought, "Why make him send me his and them have to order more for himself? Let me see if I can just find some online myself."

Bingo! Four tires in stock and I can actually get them before my race! Seemed too good to be true.

<Haha it was.>

Yes 100%. I have less-than-zero interest in stuff like that. He likes anything with moving parts that can be disassembled and then reassembled, so bikes are right up his alley (although he has less-than-zero interest in riding them).

He comes to all my races actually, sets up the trainer for my warm up and all my paraphernalia, packs up after etc.

I think ORDER FULFILLMENT is when a sales interaction comes with an additional story and/or anecdote not anticipated or listed on the packing slip.

I'll be driving to Grand Isle, LA today for a couple of days of fishing. Then on to NOLA for a few days of eating and drinking. Folks, do try to get along during those periods when I can't keep track of you. And FGS please try to get your spelling, grammar, and word usage right. I don't want to be coming back here after several hours and finding page after page of language atrocities that need correcting. That is all.

This is literally their 20th straight year making it to the playoffs, I think that's the best of any professional franchise in the US at the moment.

Speaking of streaks, it's looking like LeBron is going to the finals again if the Cavs continue to play as well as they have been. That would make 7 straight finals appearances for him between the Heat and Cavs. I don't think anyone has ever equaled that especially not with 2 different teams during that run.

That's one of the beauties of being an old man. People are a little less inclined to hurl guff in your direction.

I think that any time you announce your intention to leave, it's a huff. Whether or not it's memorable is up to the viewer at home.
