Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cycling in Panama Central America

Has anyone here shipped a bike to Panama and rode it out of Panama City..? Going to Panama for 7 days Thanksgiving Holiday and want to ship a road bike .. No long touring rides, just some 40 -50 mile rides from the resort we will be staying at is all..

Research the area to make sure you're not riding into ghettoes or anything. I would try and stay in county sure our affluent areas. It would probably helped if you spoke Spanish well. Check Strava for some popular routes and maybe email the resort you'll be visiting to see if they have information for you.
