Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Magellan cyclo 315 HC

Just wanted to get some feedback on this gps. Any good?
Price is very attractive though! $80 for the unit with HRM and Speed and Cadence.

I've got a Garmin 500, 520 and the Magellan 315. The Magellan is about twice the size and weight of the Garmins. I bought the 315 for it's mapping capabilities. I set up some test routes and it failed miserably. Told me to turn the wrong way several times. Got really confused when I didn't do what it requested. I gave it another chance a few weeks ago and put a 35 mile ride from the Great Western Bike Rally into it. It worked perfectly. I'd say, for that price, I'd give it a shot. That's a great deal.

I have the Garmin magnetless speed and cadence, and a Scosche HRM. Both work with the Magellan.
