Can't fix this clicking noise when pedaling
Hi!
I really have this problem that my bike can't be fix even going to a lot of LBS. They thought it was the crank, i discovered that it wasn't because I just bought a new Crankset and it is still there. It only occurs when I pedal hard or stand up when climbing. Please Help! ty

That could be one of many things, not necessarily the crank. Check the frame in the bottom bracket area, as well as the steerer tube. Check the chainring bolts as mentioned above, the wheel as mentioned above, but also things like the saddle, seatpost, stem, headset, levers, and of course, the pedals.

One of my actual shoes clicks under hard pedalling. It seems to be a slight defect in the carbon layers in the sole.
Couldn't figure it out until I swapped my old shoes.

If the clicking happens at regular intervals like once per revolution of the pedal then it's either the crank/bottom bracket or the pedals, or shoes. Here's a good resource:

Did you reuse the old chain when you replaced the crank set?

I specified those other things from personal experience. In reality, it could be almost anything. On one occasion, my heel was striking the pannier, and it took me weeks to figure it out.

Maybe its the chain? Because sometimes if i clean the chain the sound minimizes but it is still there.
I replicate sound by grabing brakes and just stepping on the pedal. I know the pedal dont have bad bearings. It is also diff from the sound of the spokes.
Its not the frame right? Only had minor crashes. It still a new aluminum frame.

To eliminate any possibility of it being the seatpost/saddle, see if the noise continues when standing. If not, switch to a different rear wheel- if you don't have a different rear wheel, see if someone you know will allow you to try it, or any LBS should be able to test that out for you. That's the easiest way to figure it out.
I'm surprised none of your LBS tried the wheel switch if the noise didn't go away.

I had the same issue upon further examination, it was the chain hitting the front derailer cage (only under load, doesn't happen on stand) but only in highest gears on front / back. took it to 2 shops, the 2nd 1 got it right (adjustment).

A new BB doesn't mean it was installed correctly.
What type of BB is it?
