Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

SRAM eTAP Hydro

Anybody have had the chance to ride SRAM eTAP Hydro? I am curious about what people think about it. I might be getting a groupset very soon. The only thing I don't quite like about it is the chunky hoods, however, they feel good, they just don't look great. It's a whopping 20g lighter than Di2 R9170!

Anyways, any reviews out there?

I thought about that myself, if there is any way they could make ebrakes work. It just came down to a bunch of funny scenarios

No experience with the group, but, as the owner of RS505s, some of the ugliest hoods around, I'll say that you shouldn't let it bother you - if it works as intended, it all looks the same from the saddle and you'll quickly forget your aesthetic reservations.

The actual design ot the hydro is not bad, it's just bulky. It would have been perfect if they could have put the reservoirs on the back of the hoods like shimano.
