Drop handlebars – reach and drop, 26.0 vs 31.8 mm, other questions
Here’s my bicycle. It has the ‘NeoClassic’ style of Ritchey Classic handlebars, with 128 mm drop and 73 mm reach.
I use this machine for both fast group rides and slow meandering in the city. I’d like to have a larger variation in position from tops to hoods to drops. Therefore I think I’d like to try handlebars with more reach and drop, rather than simply a longer stem. This would keep the tops close for slow speeds, and get the hooks farther away for hammering.
Potentially suitable bars, which must be silver, are often 26.0 mm in the clamp area. That would mean a new stem, but I’m willing to do that if necessary.
Any suggestions for suitable bars in either 26.0 mm or 31.8 mm? The Nitto Noodle seems interesting, but I’m wondering if the 95 mm reach would be a step too far. I’m thinking maybe 85 mm reach and 140 mm drop would be better.
Bars with the ‘compact’ shape would likely not work (not enough difference in position between hoods and drops).
Thanks!

Are you looking for silver only? The 3T Rotundo has a more classic bend, with about what you're looking for in terms of reach/drop, but is only available in black (AL or CF).

No, it's understandable - just wanted to clarify.

Here's one: deda speciale 26
Reach is 80, drop 135.
The shape is pretty much the same as the cinelli giro d'italia except it doesn't have the sleeve.
Both are 26mm clamp.

I had those Cinelli GdI bars. Classic shape, you can really get your hands deep behind the levers.

I like those. You'd probably like the similar Winpista bars on my 1989 Centurion Ironman Expert, or Nitto B115 bars on the Ironman Master. Very similar classic design with deeper drops.
Too much for me. I've had to raise the stem and tip the bars back a bit for comfort. I can only use the drops for short periods on steep hill climbs and fast descents. And the drops feel a bit cramped between my thighs and torso. I'm considering the FSA Omega compact drops.
