Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The L-shaped goes on the top bar bending around towards your hoods. There should also be two straight gel pieces, those go into your drops.

in my opinion, there really isnt much of an addition in comfort from the fizik gel. maybe its because i didnt use the provided tape with the gel though, i just used the pads under my cork wrap. i think the best cushioning on the market these days is specialized's bar fat stuff, thats really nice

alright, i try not to wrap it too tight. i've never used these gel pad before.. so from what i know is that the fizik u can cut and not worry about the gel being bursted. so i'll try this one first and then perhaps next time i'll try the bar phat.

my friend has it on his tarmac.... and it's smooth, so he said.

I've got the Spec. Barphat 4.5 on mine and I love it. I don't have to ride with gloves anymore.

The Park Tool site sucks when it comes to wrapping bars. Check this: https://www.jimlangley.net/wrench/tapebars.htm

And the 'L' shaped bits are marked towards the end as left and right.
