New STI levers compatible with Shimano rd-7700?
I ordered a new pair of Shimano Sora 3500 STI levers for 9 speed to replace my old dura-ace shifters which got a bunch of sand in them when I took a fall.
Are these shifters compatible with Shimano RD-7700 rear derailluer? I've been having a really tough time getting shifting to work.

They should work if they are made for 9 speed road. Have you tried flushing out the 7700 shifter with a spray lube??
