Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wheelset: Need Ideas/Help

Hey all you bike fiends!

Question: Does this wheelset exist?

Around 50mm deep carbon wheelset with aluminum brake track that is truly TUBELESS compatible.

Hoop: UD matte carbon, alloy track
Outside dimension: 23-25mm
Spoke count: 28 rear, 24 front ideal
Spokes: Sapim CX-Ray black or equiv.
Nipples: Sapim black or equiv.
Lacing: whatever is the strongest
Hubs: DT Swiss 240 black, or equiv.
Rear hub: Shimano 10/11

Max rider weight: at least 120kg

Thank you!

P.S., I know that HED makes the Jet 4 Black, which is very close to what I am looking for. Only problem is that the carbon portion of the wheel is more of a fairing than a structural part of the wheel. That makes using tubeless very tricky around the valve. And, they are $2,100!

Bikes: Bikes??? Thought this was social media?!?

You may just need to find the correct wheel builder.
I don't know the carbon market.

I'm an Al tubular kind of wheel guy.
You should try tubular instead of that gooey tubeless.

The only thing that comes to mind with an aluminum brake track is the Bontrager Aura 5 TLR's Bontrager Aura 5 TLR Wheels - www.trekbicyclesuperstore.com

If you'd consider full carbon then I'd look at Easton's Aero 55's https://www.eastoncycling.com/produc...-aero55-wheels

Or, Easton's EC90SL's https://www.eastoncycling.com/produc...ec90-sl-wheels

If you want to go this route, go tubular. Lots of options out there. You will be a much happier rider
