Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Something Fun!

Ok, since we all are roadies and we all LOVE to ride, who on this board would you like to ride with?? This has to be a person whom you haven't rode with, but you always wondered what it would be like.

Oh, for me I would love to ride with some of the girls. Koffee, Cycleprincess, Lala... etc. But then again I would love to ride with some of the men, just so I can beat the pants off of them.
I'm kidding boys.

I'd like to ride with the girls too. They probably smell a lot better than 55/RAD (always looming and leering) and Hipcycler and certainly better than any of those new teenagers I'm hearing about on the board.

I'd like to ride with Khuon because I'd ask a lot of questions and my bicycling IQ would probably jump at least 30%. Same for Sydney, but he's probably more apt to be in a grumpy mood. If the course were flat, my58vw, because he's really big and I could probably stay on his wheel forever no matter how fast he's going.

Khuon...wealth of knowledge
LordOpie...Just seems like a cool guy, plus I would love to ride in Colorado
Velocipedio...so we can talk history AND bikes, and maybe the history OF bikes
55/Rad.....So I could get posing lessons
Corinnex...because she has my old water bottles and she sounds co cute.
Glassman...because he just got a LeMond Tourmalet, and to show him that I really am
as slow as I say I am.
Patriot....so I could steal that beautiful blue Trinity when he isn't looking
Ziggurat...because I BOUGHT A LEMOND.

Cheers,

Brian

My brother.

He was big into cycling in the 80s. Never had a chance to ride with him.

cycleprincess - seems like a nice person.

Koffee - It's Koffe. 'nuff said.

Joe - he's the one that is using all his money to keep these forums up so we can post about bikes, and, stuff.

snowy - so I can beat the pants off her.

Pfoot - to prove that not all teenagers smell bad.

Maelstrom - I need some mtb tips.

Raiyn - Just to meet him.

55/Rad - Only when his paintjob is done

Lots more, but my post would be huge if I typed out a list of everyone I want to ride with from these forums.

Koffee and the ladies of the women's forum, and MikaBike! That boy rules.

Machka, for the long distance tips.

53-11 to see what it's all about.

Ron-H because he's local.

And, everyone else who's responded to my endless questions!

MIKE MAGNUSON !!! He wrote "Heft on Wheels" and I doubt he even reads
bike forums. The guy is a full professor. I love all his work in "bicycling" magazine.
lacking Mike I would've love to ride with Eleanor Roosevelt.

OK, I'm in.

LordOpie and the lovey and talented Snowy - they're "Colorado Cool" and practically neighbors
Machka "the queen of distance cycling" - I've always wanted to ride with a queen
55/Rad, Khuon, my58vw, sykdive69, terrymorse and penguinDeD, because they must be the "big dog riders of the group". I realize I would be dropped on the first hill, but it would be fun while it lasted.
Koffee - just because of the cool jazzy avatar
and baj32161 because he wants to ride in Colorado, and how many almost pro bowlers do you know

Steve
-there are no small cyclists, only small bicycles, mostly ridden by clowns in the circus
