Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I sent my HRM back to Polar on 6/4 by priority mail, they received it Monday 6/6. As of today, 6/16, I have yet to see it back. All I had them do was replace the battery. The only reason I sent it was because I searched around here & couldn't find one.

If they want people to send them in, why can't they offer better turn-around? Other brands are looking better all the time.

I've been thinking of going the local jeweler route myself. How much is Polar charging in addition to the money you pent on postage?

It's was only like $10 plus $2.95 shipping, but I figured it would only take a week, & by the time I had to mess around to find someone that had a battery I'd be better off sending it. Plus I figured paying for priority shipping to them would help.

Think I'll order a few replacements off ebay just to keep on hand, then take it to the jeweler I (or should I say my wife) do business with.

Did he have the battery, or did you provide it?
