Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can't hotlink to images on your hard drive; gotta host that pic online somewhere. www.imageshack.us is my recommendation for free image hosting.

thanks.
A close up would reveal two different tires. (one conti, the other michelin)
ME....the one who boasted of NEVER having a flat running sew ups, got a flat on only my second ride.
One mile from home, I picked up a nail and three really cute guys who claimed to ride mountain bikes and fixed the flat for me.
Thank goodness I had sense enough to carry lip gloss with me in my tool kit!

Nice bike. Which Litespeed is that?

Sciroccos seem like cool wheels too.

Did you buy it that way from the dealer that way or did you build it yourself?

Details please.

Centaur/Veloce group. Nice setup. Can't go wrong with that.

Carbon stays, carbon forks, Ti. Welcome aboard Poseur. Now all you need is some nice carbon soled shoes.

You did good. Now get out there and show off that gorgeous ride.

Is it official? When do I get my signature logo! Handshake? Nod?

Carbon soled Diadoraos. White and silver. got 'em.

Followed the advice of the bike shop and started with the frame. Siena was the best fit for me. campy was the reason I went to the shop, they were willing to build it up for me. The wheels were purely on looks. I no experience with any current wheels and hey, if I don't like them up the road, well in true posuer style I'll upgrade to something absurdly expensive for no apparent reason.
Started with a Centaur build kit and then deleted/added stuff. Arione saddle, thompson seatpost, cinelli bars.
There's no doubt, considering the resourses I had available, I could have built a much different bike, but I'm thrilled for now. With the exception of the tires, the one I trashed on day two and the fact that I will likely need to keep an inventory of tires/tubes/co2 on hand if this is to be my fate.

Spent a good part of yesterday in front of Starbucks, at the POINT (where the ocean meets the bay - popular spot with posuers of many hobbies porsches ect) and asked guys in a Shelbys, CL600s and M8s if they wanted to race at traffic lights.
Applied lip gloss incessantly.
How'd I do?!!!!

....and by the way, what you SAID to them is secondary. As OCP "Style Consultant" I am more concerned with what you were wearing and how you looked doing it. THAT's what matters to the true poseur.

what was I wearing?
Diadora CF soled shoes to start, sugio shorts in white and an old school Tomasso jersey from the 70's. I like to do retro on Sunday, socks to match the green/red.
Today though...sugio shorts in black and an OP jersey in grey/black, stealth carbon look.
having trouble coordinating a water bottle to the Litespeed. suggestions?

go with a clear bottle. but you'll have tgo chose your sports drink very carefully to coordinate with your socks.

on the other hand... i might just be the least ocp cyclist astride ti [i wore an old blue campagnolo jersey yesterday, with black and red shorts from a tri team my shop sponsors, complete with grease stains, blue and yellow michelin socks, very heat-up sidi shoes, and an oragnge bandana under my helmet], so my advice may not be with the paper it's printed on.

OCP ***BONUS POINTS*** Awarded....

The throwback jersey for the weekend ride/hang out at the local hot spot. NOW you're talkin' style!
...

Clear bottles.
Just a radical thought...with silver caps if you could swing it.
OOOhhh, that's hot.

Did you look like the bike jester? Or was it laundry day?
I have little interest in doing laundry myself now that the new ride is here.
Can't I just buy new clothes?
Sports drinks, colorless of course. Wouldn't want to stain my bleached white OCP smile!
