Calling all Fuji Owners

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here's my 2007 Roubaix LTD. It's all stock except for Michelin Krylion tires and Tacx Tao bottle cages. As I find money to spend on it, I'd like to swap out the Cane Creek brakes for DA or Ultegra, and maybe eventually upgrade the wheels. I absolutely love it.

Here is my 2003 Fuji Team Superlite.

- 2003 Fuji Team Superlite frame/fork
- Ritchey headset
- Ritchey WCS stem
- Easton EC90 zero seatpost
- Fizik Arione saddle
- Truvativ XR handlebar (comfortable but heavy - will be replaced by Easton EC70)
- Ultegra 9 speed brifters, brakes, fd, rd, cassette, chain
- FSA K-Force crankset (53x39)
- Supergo Korso wheelset (removed the ugly stickers)
- Look Keo sprint
- Conti GP3000

Frame was bought used from a local racer. Most of the parts were bought used or moved from other bikes. The wheels I got from Supergo (before they went belly up) for $99.

The frame is a little flexy around the BB. Overall, it has a longish wheelbase and I find it to be very comfortable doing 100+km rides on this.

I have the 2007 Team Pro....Love it...it weighs in right at 17.1...no biggie....the wheel set is pretty heavy, the Shimano rw-550...it's like 1900grams...there are places all over the bike to save some weight...i think with a new wheel set and i want to put Sram Force or Rival on it i should drop to about low 15s...

either way...great riding bike, and it looks great!! i got it about 4 weeks and already have about 700 miles on it...pics later!

Lowcel has sent me a few teaser shots of the 06 Team Issue WCS I am buying off him. Transfering all the parts of my Flyte to build it up. Adding a few Ritchey WCS parts to the mix, debating on handlebar tape color currently. Also need to swap out my gray / blue Aliante for an all black one.

Admittedly I'm interested in an upgrade as I'm finally seeing some results in my riding in terms of distance and speed and looking for further improvement with the help of lighter equipment and higher end components. I'm not sure it'll be a Fuji, simpy because the 'local' dealer is one independent sob and at times doesn't even maintain posted hours. I'm not sorry I got my Fuji - I am enjoying it immensely.
Since I posted this I came across a 2006 Roubaix Pro which I bought for $600. It was a year old and had 400 miles on it according the the cyclo computer that came with the bike. The bike was (and still is) in excellent condition and I love the upgrade to the 105 components over the Sora not to mention a significant reduction in weight. I still have the Finest and it's found a home on my very old but trusty Vetta wind trainer.

Here are a few of mine.

Here is one that I recently broke the frame on, Fuji took care of the warranty immediately.

Here is my time trial bike.

Oh, and here is another cheap fuji frameset I picked up last week.

How much do you weigh? I have a 2004 with an FSA Energy Crankset (external bearings)...can't say I notice any flex around the BB.

Also that looks like a 54 which has a wheelbase of 976mm...that's pretty standard for a 54; not sure how that's considered "longish". Just trying to understand how you came to these conclusions.

I have an '06 Roubaix RC. Full Ultegra, carbon stays and fork. I love this bike. It's still pretty much all factory. I have done one century with it...couldn't ask for a better bike. (well, actually I could) so...Couldn't AFFORD a better bike. haha.

blonduathlongrl - I have the same bike so maybe if I train enough I can justify those wheels. From my research it seemed like best bike for the money and it fit me well.
