Any good LBS's in Atlanta area?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any good LBS's in Atlanta area?

Hubby and I are running the Peachtree 10K on Juy 4th and I want to get him a new road bike while we are there. My LBS is a nightmare( see Sh*tty LBS tries to pull one over on me thread) so I think we might try one in HOTlanta... Any suggestions??

I recommend Roswell Bicycles. Todd and his staff really know there stuff and will take care of you.

https://www.roswellbicycles.com/

For Orbea bikes you might try Mama's Board N' Bike. It's a small shop though.

I forgot Roswell, I second the fact that they are a good shop. They carry Merlin, Cdale, Giant, Litespeed, and a few other higher end frames.

Also check out All3Sports. They are more triathlon specific, but they carry Cervelo as well. www.all3sports.com

I'd like to put my two cents in for Atlanta Cycling (www.atlantacycling.com) preferably the Vinings Store on Cobb Pkwy. When I lived in Atlanta I rode out of that shop 3 times a week. Great people there. Ask for Michael. I don't know Don Dutson Jr. too well, but Don Sr. is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable. They gave me a good price and excellent service on the Scott I bought in March. Even from across the ocean they were happy to send me a new stem and switched out the stock saddle for the one I wanted. They carry (or did carry) Trek, Willier, Scott, Ridley, Guru (custom) and Look (I think). I would also vouch for the quality of Roswell Bikes as stated above, but it's a bit out of the way from where I lived. Huge store though and a good selection.

Have fun at the Peachtree. This will be the first one I haven't run since 1997. Some years were better than others, but I'll strangely miss it. Don't forget to grab a doughnut when you're running by Publix on Peachtree.

Cheers,

CJ

You didn't say how much you want to spend or if you are looking at a certain brand.

All the above shops are first rate. I'd also recommend Intown Bicycles for Jamis or Giant. Talk to Mike. He's the owner and a good friend.

If you want a Specialized, Lemond, Trek, Guru, or Klein I'd recommend CycleWorks.

You may not have an easy time finding many of those in stock, but I would suggest calling around to the shops already mentioned to see if they have any in your size and all. That way, you don't waste your time driving around ATL (believe me, that won't be any fun at all) just to find out no one has any in stock. One of the Orbea dealers may be able to order one for you if you know what size you need and all though. Good luck!

For Orbea I have to recommend Free Flite Bicycles. The Buckhead store on Peachtree Road will be the closest to the race. Talk to TR. He's the store manager. Great guy.

The last time I was in Freeflite (couple weeks ago) they had the Onix in stock. It is a good bike shop, very helpful staff.

Here in lies the problem...The onix they have in stock, that is my size (in one of the other stores) is silver. I want the orange and black. it is too smooth...

Of course they arent the only ones in town, but the only ones I could call today (sunday). I will call the others tomorrow.
