i just ordered a set of performance gemini wheels online, and i'm wondering what should be done, if anything, before i ride on them. i dont know how to build wheels nor do i own a truing stand or tensionometer, so what should i ask the shop to do before i take them for a spin? thanks. ps, i know they're not the greatest wheels so i figure one of you wisecracks is thinking about telling me that the first thing i should do is return them for a better wheelset

Don't know what to say about these.
A truing stand, dish tool, tensiometer and spoke wrench is good set of tools to have.
Park TS-7 with dish tools were discountinued but sold for $65 new delivered on ebay in the past. Tensiometers are about $50 and nice to have especially with thin butted spokes (DT revs) that are difficult to guage tighteness.
Spoke wrench $3
Average guy may not like or need this stuff, but I think it's pretty cool to use.
