Colors for new bike team
The shop I work at is going to start a race team. What are some good colors we should use for our kit?

You want a colour scheme that stands out from the other teams. Personally I would check out the races this year in the circuit that you'll be racing and make mental notes to NOT use colours schemes that are already out there.
We had a new time racing this weekend using an Orange and Black scheme, which looked great, except another large team had a similar scheme...It was tough to differentiate the teams in the peleton (for spectators anyways)

Really depends on the sponsor wouldn't it?
Who is your teams sponsor?

Want to win? Check out the June 6th issue of a journal/magazine called 'The Scientist'. According to this you need to be wearing RED if you want to win! Blue was the worst choice.

Pink? For guys? Um...well T-Mobile, which features one of the top riders out there (Jan Ullrich), is part of the Deutsch Telekom. DT's primary industry trade color is a lovely shade of...PINK!! Those are some boys that are confident about their masculinity: they shave their legs and get into skin-tight pink lycra.
Imagine the response if they rode around Southwestern VA dressed like that

I think that might be my favorite kit on the TDF.
Even their Audi's are in pink.

I like tmobile's flame jersey. I don't think the tdf team gets them though. Colors depend on your shop logo really, lots of combinations look great. Complementing colors go well together. (remember 2nd grade art anyone?)

Red and black like CSC, who's got the classiest kit in the Tour. Maybe go with silver as an accent.

I like black and grey/silver. My bike is set up in that color scheme, and I don't see any teams around here using it. It may not be the most traditional, but to me it looks great and is a little bit stealthy as an added bonus.
