Any hope for me with the OCP?
I need to lose about 20 lbs. and I shave my head due to impending baldness. My base model Allez has a rack and trunk bag to carry tube and tools and stuff, as well as blinky light, headlight, and spoke reflectors so I'm safe on my late night rides. I use a helmet mirror. Perhaps worst of all, I have a triple.
On the positive side of things, I always wear proper shorts, gloves, and jersey. I just upgraded my stock triple to Ultegra, and I do tend to keep my bike clean. I've got red/black Michelin tires and I've ridden with Koffee Brown a couple of times.
Is there any hope for me?

Rad has an excellent point. It is almost lunch on the 4th of July, and here I sit, coffee in hand, still in my boxers, staring at this wonderous little boxed piece of technology of mine.
Does your bike look anything like this? If so, I would have to say that when a little spit and polish is used to show off your pride and joy, then your are definitely a poseur. It just depends on how Obsessive you become. Me? Well, let's just say there's no words to describe the severity of my condition.

I actually check the forums before I start the coffee, if I haven't set it up the night before, so maybe I'm OK?
And yes Patriot, my overall look isn't dissimilar to that. I'll have to take a pic and post it. After I remover the dork disk.

You turn your computer off? It drains less power sitting than it down turning on and off (unless of course it is a laptop) there is no real reason to ever turn a desktop off (save long trips)

I take my laptop to bed with me -- well, it sits on the nightstand. So I'm on this board before I get out of bed! Never thought I'd qualify as OCP; then again, if I had ever totalled my receipts from the last few months . . .

The old argument for leaving computer on 24/7 was for reliability, not for energy savings. Hard drives and other motorized components suffer the greatest wear when spinning up after a night of cold-soaking their lubrication.
Modern computer components are nowhere near as frail as they were when this advice was first offered. Turn your computer off to save energy, and don't give it another thought.
My apologies for continuing to pull the thread off on a tangent.
