First time clip less which to choose fixed cleat or rotation
I got two cleats options with my pedals.
(They are the Wellgo WAM-R1/WPD-R3)
Black fixed cleat and Red rotating one.
I have no idea which one to choose , or is it one of those things that each one prefer different kind ?
the Shoe is Shimano RA80
Thanks Danny

You should definitely start with the cleats that provide float. There are many reasons for this; primarily you want to allow your knees a few degrees of rotation so that they shouldn't be locked in an uncomfortable, perhaps even hazardous, position. It also makes positioning the cleat easier, as they don't have to be perfectly aligned. Cleats with float also provide a sense of security while riding clipped in, since a fixed cleat may have you unclipping out of your pedals sooner than you'd like.
Fixed cleats are only for those who know exactly how they want their shoe/pedal interface to be; and prefer the feeling of being really locked in to the pedal. So far in my life I have yet to encouter anyone who has regularly used a fixed road cleat...not that there's anything wrong with it, but it is just very uncommon.

A little float is always a good idea. I find the float on the look style pedals (i.e. look, shimano, etc) is not quite free and seems very very stable... Of course the only way to tell is to try both methods but I would definitly recomend going float at first.

I agree try thr ones with the float. Most LBS will just center the cleats for you. But you can f give it shot. Cleat placement is SO important.Good Luck.
