Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Please make it a sticky so everyone doesn't ask in every thread why he is not wearing the T-Mobile kit.

Great, that explains this guy....Jan Whatshisname. Now what about this guy Vinokourev - why does he wear a different jersey than the rest of his team?

But why is he wearing teal for the race itself? I don't get it. I thought it was turquoise?

Yeah....Why Isn't Lance National Champion of his Country?...........

Seriouly, I think he should have won Philly again, just to go over and ride the Tour in the Stars and Stripes like he did in '93

Hincapie was in the Stars and Stripes on year, and 2 seconds from Yellow, but they couldn't get it for him...

The sponsor's name would not show up as well on the Stars and Stripes jersey. Lance knows where the money comes from and he wants to be sure the Discovery Channel, Trek, or Nike's logo is as prominent as possible.

Besides, that national championship jersey is just butt-ugly.
