Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

$250 weheelset

My rim is bent and it seems silly to rebuild the wheel with a 105 UG hub so I think its time for a new wheelset. I was looking over the weekend and had decided to get the performance gemini since in was so cheap but now its not on sale anymore. Since I really need a new wheel now it looks like I will end up spending a bit more then I planned but I really can't afford anything over 250. I need a wheel that will hold up reasonably well since but is still relitively light. right now I'm looking at these wheelsets any opinions on them or others I should consider.

Cane Creek Aerohead SG
Supergo Korso's which may be rebranded Nuevation M28's
Ritchey Special
Performance Gemini are these likely to go on sale again soon. I'll wait a couple of weeks if I can save $100

Yup. These are the best "bang for the buck" wheels, unless your team is supplying you with free wheels, and you have a team car behind you carrying spare wheels.

Sealed mechanism. It's still a cup and cone bearing that you can service yourself, but it has a more sophisticated sealing mechanism than 105 and lower hubs.

You can get them for well under $250 if you're willing to get machine builts. You may have to retension but it might be worth the risk if you're strapped for cash.

Three more questions
If I was to get the ultegra/openpros where can i get them built well? I trust myself more then any LBS around me so I would have to order them.
What is the best wheelset with cartridge bearings?
And why do bikes still use loose bearings?
