Roubaix, 1500 or..
something else?
I looked at the Roubaix at my LBS today and it's a pretty impressive machine. Being a recent roadie wannabe n00b, the Trek 1500 and the Roubaix are all I've really looked at. They are priced comparatively at the LBS, and both have 105's but the Fuji has carbon seat stays (should this impress me??). I'll admit that I was convinced that the 1500 was what I wanted until I saw the Roubaix in person. Anything else you guys would recommend in the 1000- 1200 range for a newbie roadie?

I took an Aluminum Roubaix for a spin. It was an impressive machine that begged to be ridden.
On the showroom floor I thought It looked nicer than the other bikes in it's price range. I wasn't shopping for a bike in this price point, however it just stood out, and as I said, begged to be ridden
