faster group
Im new to road cycling last year i went on some group rides on my mtb now i just started road cycling i go on a 60 mile ride at an average speed of 18mph, well it felt pretty easy, then i did a stupid thing, some one dropped a water bottle osme people slowed down with him to get it and i felt i would be a hlep by staiyng halfway between them and the rest of the group so that they could see me, but when they approched i sprinted off ot get to the main group, after that i started to strugle it was still going fine but my lungs where aching from before.i had been running the day before which also made my lungs ache due to pushing myself to far. Well the wya i felt was even tohu it was easy, that i could nto go any garder if need be. With in 20 miles of the start going up a hill that was not even that steep, i just could not cary on anymore, i left the group, with in minutes i felt fine i was not tired or anything, so i think/hope today was jsut my lungs where tired out and not that im unfit.
I have done 60 miles in a day before offroad but not in a long time, i felt doing it on road will nto be so hard but basicly because i never done it before at that speed and not done that distance recently, plus with the whole lung issue and the fact that 1 spd was not clipping in and i was running on a slow flat that was getting to soft, well didnt have much chance really, even tohu i do not feel worn out like i have done before after cycling alone.
