Powder Coat for sub $100, any suggestions???
Hello,
I am looking to get some help from everyone here. I have a bike which I probably won't be riding for around a month or so and a frame on it with many problems. Solution, powder coating. Through searching the forums I saw many people with stories of getting their frames powder coated for $50 and less. However, it was hard to compile a list and get links or contacts, so instead of PMing a bunch of people I thought I'd try and get a list of cheap(say under $100) powder coating experiences people have had. I won't mind shipping especially if it is under $60, but the closer to MN/WI the better.
Thanks for anyones help.

Motorcycle frame powdercoating can run into big numbers, so it isn't inevitable that it's cheap.
Eastwood sells a kit for home powdercoating. It is apparently pretty simple, the main problem being finding an oven you can use. If you don't work in a pizza shop, you can rig your own oven out of spare oven parts. A bike frame is not very big. I don't have much to say about MN/WI.

I would try to find a local shop. I have had good luck with getting my stuff thrown in with a big run, for almost nothing. You might have a limited choise of colors though.

https://www.ffcobra.com Go to this forum. These guys are always having small parts, and whole car frames powder coated. Chances are there will be someone in your area. Go to the forums area and FFR Roadster Discussions.
Don't look around too much, or you may end up spending $35,000.
