Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hi,
We are new to the forum and have zero road bike knowledge and thought we'd seek help from those who ride! Can you help us?

We have inherited an older Miele 12 speed road bike with the following details:

12 sp Made in Italy Ambrosio 19 Extra Elite Tires, with quick release feature.
Suntour Le Pree Gears
Sugino GLP Crank
Japanese SP250 Pedals
Sahae Handlebar
Brass Dia Compe Brake Handles
Suede Seat/Saddle

It looks like it's in great condition, it's silver and not one bit of rust....help us out? How much can we get for it?

Addendum/Edit: RE MODEL or MAKE
The only stickers/stamp that I can see say "TANGE 900 CR-M0 Double Butted Tube" and "CICLI"

I have an old Miele with Shimano 600 components, cost ~$700 new. Any chance you could post a photo or two? How old is this bike?

Does the bike have the stickers on it still that mention model and material? By the description sounds like my beater bike that is a magny and bubble gum pink. The bike is probally close to 20 years old and you may be able to get $50 for it. It is good riding bike but nothing special. Please post a picture of it.

A loved and oft-ridden bike is priceless. Why not keep it?

you could put it on ebay and find out. However, I doubt the cost of shipping it would be justified by the bike's value.

I would at least ride it round for a while, you might actually like it. Road bikes are a lot more fun than many people think...fast, agile, and pretty good looking too

I can't post a pic just yet as my camera is in the shop, that is my passion, photography, not so much the biking. That and we each have a bike that we ride around town. We own a 7 shifter cruiser and a hybrid.

The bike is approx 10-15 years old. The make and model number that I can see is "CICLI" and "Tange 900 CR-MO Double Butted Tubes"

I'll post a pic just as soon as I can.

PS
We have a Miele Built In Vacuum Cleaner!
