I'm looking to gain 10-20lbs (20 might be a little too much) of leg muscle from now till when race season starts back up next spring. I was wondering what type of workouts I should to. I don't want to work one group too hard so it blows my muscle strength out of proportion to the other groups, since all the muscles compliment eachother.
Obviously, I have to keep on the bike so I don't lose mobility etc, and keep doing sprint intervals.
If it helps any, I'm 5'11" 140lbs. Really for my body size and weight, I should be able to climb like crazy, but thats not the case for me. I simply have more fast twitch muscles and dominate in sprinting. I can get around to 35-38mph and pull a 53x15 easy.
