Should I get this 2nd hand bike?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Please have a look at this link

It's a Shimano 600 components(bought in year 2002)
Frame is Aqua Sapone, if you realise it's not an original one, the fork aswell. Bought in 2004
Includes a pair of Shimano cycling shoes, Cateye Astrale 8, 2 bottle cages
Ultegra wheelset, Dura Ace front derailleur.
'He' was the 1st owner of this bike. the bike had gone through 6000km mileage

Size 52cm. I'm not sure if it fits my 172cm height and 82cm inseam..

He's opening up at USD 530. Please note that I'm not from the US and the price is just a conversion.

I wouldn't. The 600 components are older than '02 and certainly don't match the age of the frame. Though it could be a nice bike, I can't see it being worth what he's asking.

hey Rad,

Yes they are older than 2002. But I think he bought it in 2002 thus using it for 3 years? Doesn't match the frame as in what sense?

I ask this question to know if it's worth to get the bike.

If it's really all 600, it's 8 speed and 1997 or older. 600 became ultegra 9 speed in 1998. $530 US isn't unreasonaable depending on condition, but if it's an auction,no telling what it might get bid up to.
