Well I guess I should have just waited and spent more money on a real bike or buy a second bike but right now the hotrod diesel addiction is craving more cash...

Anyway to the point I currently have an FCR3 (if you don't know what that is a pic is in the link in the sig) it is a hybrid I guess since it has flat bars. I put some bar ends to get more hand positions and ended up putting them almost at 0 degrees and never use the flats anymore. So I am thinking a cowhorn/TT stlye bar would be nice for me. I saw one with a nice drop and looked to be the positions I want on eBay for a good price.

What is the best way to go about putting brakes and shifters on those bars? I can deal with not having easy access to shifters since it is not too hilly around here and not a whole lot of shifting is required. I saw some bar end brakes on Nashbar that they say are a perfect match for their TT bar and should work on most others.

I have the little thumb shifters right now... would it be best to just put those on these bars somewhere that works, or is there a shifter setup I have missed in all my googling the past hour?

Only other thing I was unsure of was my toys fitting on these bar but I can figure something out on that... I have a foretrex, vetta 100hr and my headlight (which in reality is not used that much so I could figure something out for that).

Sorry for the long post... just so many bar options out that I don't know what I really am looking for. Thanks!

I've always found this option (bar end shifters w/ traditional road drop brake levers) interesting.

Just some additional info about this configuration:

You will either need aero levers that are compatible with your linear pull brakes or buy a set of travel agents.

Your current shifters won't fit on a set of road bullhorns since they have a larger diameter than MTB bars. Also, getting them to go around the bend in the bar would probably be quite difficult. You might be able to do it if you grind out the clamp with a dremel.

Another option is to use bar-end shifters and install some cyclocross (bar-top) levers backwards. mwmistak correctly noted that your current V-brakes (AKA linear pull brakes) require more cable travel than road levers provide. These cyclocross levers pull more cable than road levers do, but not quite as much as V-brake levers, so they may or may not work for you.
