Clamp on Vs. Braze On Front Derailer?
I currently have a clamp on front derailer on my bike and I'm upgrading my componenets. I have a couple questions:
Do I have to replace a clamp on with a clamp on?
and if not
Is their any plus or minus to having a clamp on vs a braze on?
Thanks.

Yes you need a clamp on...unless you get an adapter that will allow you to use the braze on. Like this one:

One advantage of clamp on brackets is that you can adjust it's height if you ever decide to change the size of the big chainring that your using. A braze on bracket just looks trick although I have read that some frame makers don't like them because the middle of a butted tube is thin and not a good place to do a braze. Since carbon frames don't like to be clamped a fixed moulded in bracket is more common with carbon.
