So how much is this going to cost me? (a swap)

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So how much is this going to cost me? (a swap)

my current road bike frame is a little too big, its a felt f70. a good sized part of me really wants to get one of those bare nashbar road frames and just swap everything and sell the f70 frame

any idea how much a shop would charge for something like that?

Free as DIY or I think shops typically charge around $50 to build up a frame. YMMV.

yeah, i dont know what i'm doing really with brakes and shifting and whatnot, plus i dont have tools for cranks or BBs or headsets

i figure that even if its 120 to swap, that would total 240 for everything, and i imagine i could get 300 for the felt frame (-fork). so i'd actually come out ahead

even if i sold the frame for 240 i'd break even.
