Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cool.

Did Manuelo Saiz hold court?

Did anyone yell out "Venga, venga, venga!"

I'm so envious! Thanks for the pics.

Was the Sox cap in response to their clinching the wildcard (or does everybody in BOston get one )?

Not really, there were interview portions and then the autographing. I waited in line for an hour+ and by the time I got to the front I was out of it (hungry and grumpy) and when asked by the translator if I had anything to say to Marcos Serrano I drew a blank . Mumbled thanks.

I did ask for a photo of me with Joseba Beloki and asked the girl behind me to take the photo with my camera.
I was really suprised at how nice these guys were, even after sitting for an hour+ signing autographs and taking photos with people. Just wish I spoke Spanish.

B.T.W, I always had a stereotype that cyclists were waifs, these guys are not really small and standing next to Beloki I realized he is almost my height (I am just under six feet).

Then to top it off, I forgot that I needed to pay for the Liberty Seguros shirt that I had asked them to sign and almost left the store without paying for it (doh!). The guy at the door asked for a receipt and I realized my stupidity and went and paid.

No, its cause people ragged on Beloki because he apparently had come wearing a Yankees cap. So someone in the crowd tossed a Red Sox hat so he could wear it.

That guy might have saved Beloki's life!

darnit!

I took those photos too!

I guess we need to somehow put all these wheelworks threads into one.

BTW

Did you see me? I was standing by the pillar closest to the shoe section. I was wearing a seguros jersey, not shirt.

I think I saw you. I was standing near the middle a few rows behind the people in the chairs. I was the black guy wearing jeans, glasses and a green shirt holding an SLR Camera.

I think we should somehow combine all these pictures because I think that quite a few people on this message board were there.

HI DTrain,

I didn't see you, but I did see hi565 cause of his shirt. I was standing in front of the stage and I think that you guys were on the right hand side of the stage. I wonder if I am in the video you shot (probably not because I was off to the left).

I was on the left side of the stage if you were facing it.
