Does anyone know anything about the Tufo tubular clincer that is being touted these days. It sounds like a really interesting concept. Can they be used for everyday or are they "special occasion" tires. Also, are they foldable so you can carry a spare or will I need to take a "regular" tire and tube for backup??
I also just read an ad for the new Continental 4000 tire that sounds interesting. Does anyone know anything about it?
How do the two tires compare in terms of weight/rolling resistance/ wear and puncture resistance??
Any feedback would be aprreciated!

The 4000 is so new, you won't find a lot of feedback.
As for the Tufos, here's a link to a little information:

Good luck.

Foldable so you can carry a spare. I just put on a set of the Tufos a few weeks ago and so far I really like them. I carry a spare with me but luckily have not had to use it. If you get a spare I would suggest mounting it and inflating it for a day or two so it can stretch. Might make changing it on the road a little easier.

Sorry, the link expired. Go to the top here to "Search the forums" and type in "Tufo". Select the "search titles only" option. You'll end up with more information than you can imagine.
Here's my take - and I ride 2 different sets. They are great tires. There are several models in different price ranges - some are better for racing only and others are more durable "every day" tires. The C-Elite Road are very popular and are lighter, more race specific than the CS-33 Special. For everyday, I go with the CS-33 Special.
Both are great. Good luck.
