40 Exquisite Frames
This is an interesting story with a sad ending.
A local rider and avid cycling fan has a thing for fine European cycling frames. Fortunately, his station in life has allowed him the ability to purchase several beautiful high-end bikes. Whatever his whim, he was able to pursue it. 40 times, he pursued it and hung it in his trophy case.
I've been in cycling for +20 years, and I've never seen a collection of this sort. I don't normally get too excited (as many reader of this forum do) about bike frames. To me, they're a tool to reach some other place. But I stand in awe when I see this collection, and I admire his enthusiasm for his collection.
My favorite is a Bohemian with a crazy-beautiful paint job and amazing lugwork.
Unfortunately, i will never have the chance to express my admiration. He died of a sudden heart attack while out on a ride.
The frames - excuse me for not providing a list (they're still being inventoried) - will be sold to help the family. If there is any interest, I will notify you when I place the list in the For Sale Section. They're all in the 57cm to 60cm size range.
The point of THIS thread is obvious: Live it up. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.
And this: save up some money. The list will be pretty amazing.
