Dammit. Dammit, dammit, dammit. I just got back into cycling by buying an R700 on closeout and thought that this would be the bike that I don't mess with for a while. I joined Bike Forums and have gleaned some good info but found my mindset beginning to change. I wanted compact (currently running a triple) and also wanted 10 speed (currently have 105/Ultegra 9). So I lurked eBay and today I pounced. I bought an FSA Gossamer Compact and C-16 Compact FD. I then snapped up Ultegra 10 RD, chain, cassette, and shifters. I know it's not just me but felt compelled to share my story (short as it is). *Sigh*. There I feel better...

Bwwaaah-ha-ha-ha-haaa! Another victim of Upgrade-itis!
BTW: You've only just started. Next will be the saddle, then pedals and more bling just because... after a while, you will just buy a whole new bike and wonder why you spent so much upgrading the one you have!
