Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Excessive road vibration-fork, handlebar or what might the culprit?

I am getting a lot of feedback in the handlebars in my 2005 Speciallized Allez triple.
The fork is described as "Specialized Carbon, carbon fiber legs, alloy crown, Cr-Mo steerer"
I assume that means that it is not solid carbon, and that may be part of it.
The handlebars are "Specialized Comp, alloy racing drop".
Any thoughts on what the issue might be?

I think that is certainly a part of it, but I cannot seem to tighten it anymore than it is already. I have been thinking about getting a new stem, one that is easily adjustable. Maybe that would make a difference.

Well, I checked and the headset is tight, no movement and it isn't loose.

Maybe you can try some different bar tape to help.. Cinelli Gel provides a good amount of cushion and lasts pretty long.

From personal experience I would look at where your saddle is located. It sounds like your sitting too far forward with too much weight on your hands. Try moving the saddle back and see if it helps. Seriously.
