LOOK cleats and Wellgo pedal compatibility

I have some Wellgo R3 pedals that came with my bike. They are supposed to be LOOK compatible and came with a set of black cleats that don't appear to have much, if any float. If I were to buy a set of real LOOK red cleats, would I automatically get some float or must the pedal support this feature as well?
