Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

IBEX bikes

I am new to cycling and I am wondering if anyone knows anything about the IBEX bike company (www.ibexbikes.com). They seem to sell cheaper bikes so are they poor quality? Does anyone own one on this forum? Any information would be great. Thank you.

John

I've never owned one but I have a friend that does. It's a great deal on a quality bike.

No, they just don't have a dealer markup.

I have the Classic 3300. I've only had it two weeks, but have done close to 100 miles. Very good quality. IT ran me about 400$, came with Sora, and down tube shifters. I think the 4400 had STI, but cant remember of the top of my head. My only complaint is the Cro-Molly fork. Other then that, it feels very solid, and rides better then I had expected. You can read my review at Road Bike Reader.

Its still early, I'll write more about it later.
