High Quality Blank Jerseys?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does anybody make them? Peformance etc. sells blank stuff but the material isn't the same smooth, shiny stuff that most printed jerseys use.

Is there a source online for nice, blank jerseys made of the smooth shiny stuff? I've seen assos, but $100 for a shirt is more than i'm willing to spend currently

Thanks,
Brian.

what do you mean "blank", something you can screenprint on? check out www.vergegear.com

if you want jerseys that just aren't team jerseys check out descente, demarchi, castelli, hincapie, etc

descente makes some great stuff, and the price is reasonable www.descenteboulder.com

Alright, I was just making sure you were not making assumptions without trying them on.

How old is that jersey?

Zigg has some good ideas above, just check into performance bike and get some ideas...

I have the Bean jersey, and a PI. I forget what model the PI is, but it's the material that rubs your tender bits raw...

The other ones I haven't used, but liked what I saw.

Just FYI, I really like Coolmax Alta. It works really well.
But it's soft, and because of that is mostly used in jerseys for gals. But if you find one, grab it.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago, very happy with it.

MEC Echelon, it has a fleece style lining for cold weather. works great at -2C as a base layer under a shell jacket too.

for the safety conscious you can get them in red.

My favorite Jersey is a Louis Garneau grey and white. I wish I could find a few more but they seem to be out of stock.

Try ordering straight from Voler, or Velowear. You can get the same stuff without the printing.

I give a nod to both the Voler, and Verge jerseys. My choice for bibs so far goes to Voler. I think they are having a seasonal closeout sale, but I'm sure most places are as well.

Check velowear.com , you can get plain Voler jersey's for $30, they make a lot of the team stuff out there.

edit: doh, did't see the two posts above, one more vote for Voler

For a relaxed fit, try the Mt. Borah stuff. It wears like iron, made in the USA, and has no graphics.

Giordana sells a lot of "blank" jerseys. I picked up some shirts I'll be trying out as base layers at Target. Nylon/spandex form-fitting long and short sleeves, $8. Modeno? Merono? something like that.

One thing I've noticed is that regular cut sleeves (like the Voler) tend to not give a skin-tight fit as well as the raglan cut used by the more expensive euro jerseys.

Voler's are a more relaxed fit, and you can get them in club fit for an even more relaxed fit. Euro jerseys usually run smaller, and tighter.

I used to have that red Descent jersey. I never cared for the material, but it was free and ended up as a good second layer jersey for fall riding. Castelli makes some nice plain jerseys and the material transfers moisture and heat very well.

Voler makes jerseys in both "club cut" and "Euro cut". Club cut is loose in the shoulders and belly, like Pearl Izumi or Primal Wear. Euro cut is similar to Castelli and Assos, which are a little bigger than Santini.
