Korso Wheelset...First interaction
Well I got the Korso wheelset in the mail today...
I stopped by the LBS to pick up a cassette, chain whip and a shimano lock ring thing.
First impression of the wheels is that they look alright and you can definately see some welds in the middle, but thats all expected for a $80 wheelset.
I mounted the tires and the tubes, they didn't accept my short stem tubes so I had to take the long stems off the other bike(what a PITA).
I mounted the rear wheel first and rode a circle around my house, the bike felt fine, nothing too crazy.
As I am mounting the tire on the second wheel, the tube of the rear tire lets out air like crazy. I mounted the front tire and set work on the rear again(replacing tube, I thought it was a valve stem failure). As I am taking the tire off, the front tire does the same thing...
I gave up and stored the bike. I have to get rim liners for this thing, this is what caused both tube punctures.
Overall the wheelset looks pretty damn good for $80. I think its 18/20. I hope it doesn't flex under my weight(183lbs).

By the way, that works out to a savings of about 20 thousand protons/neutrons per skewer. Okay, time for me to go rub off a few thousand atoms from my skewers to keep up.

The Korso wheels do come with skewers. They are attached to the underside of the cardboard at the bottom of the box.
You do still have the box, don't you?!?
Cheers,
J.
